Rescue Exercises in Russia

This week the rescue exercises were held in the Moscow “Domodedovo” airport. According to the exercise legend a plane made an emergency landing because of the unopened right gear.

While the plane was making a landing all the airport services were lined up in operational readiness. If an accident takes place unexpectedly, the maximum response time for the first fire calculations is 2 minutes.

So, according to the legend, the plane landed and  ignited.

Big bonfire must have made the passengers,  a little bit nervous as they observed a burning plane and a whole lot of technical equipment from their windows.

While the firemen are putting out the fire, the rescuers rush to the passengers.

The fire that had broken out while the emergency landing was contained in 30 seconds.

Part of the pasengers walked down on their own and the other part got down with the help of the rope.

Those who are injured get covered with a special quilt.

When the fire is put out, the luggage gets unloaded out of the plane.

Meanwhile the ambulances take away the injured.

If the emergency situation happens at night, special lightpoles are installed.

Training of the cooperation scheme between the airport emergency services is carried out annually.

HE MOST FAMOUS MILITARY CAMP in the WORLD

Valley Forge,Pa. was the site of the 1777-1778 Winter Encampment of the Continental Army from December 19, 1777 to June 19, 1778 and is one of the Most Sacred Spots in American History.
George Macaulay Trevelyan (1876-1962) a noted English Historian, has declared in his writings that "VALLEY FORGE is the MOST FAMOUS MILITARY CAMP in the WORLD".
Valley Forge National Historical Park is now in the (U.S. National Park Service) under the ( U.S. Department of the Interior). Valley Forge was Pennsylvania's first State Park, established in 1893. President Gerald R. Ford, while visiting Valley Forge State Park in 1976, on the occasion of the Bicentennial Year of the Declaration of Independence, accepted from Pennsylvania the transfer of Valley Forge State Park into the National Park System as ( Valley Forge National Historical Park ).
Valley Forge is located in King fo Prussia, Pennsylvania, 19406, 1400 North Outer Line Drive.

THE AMERICAN REVOLUTION

The AMERICAN REVOLUTION began on April 19, 1775 in Lexington, Massachusetts, when a small band of colonists under Captain John Parker engaged the British Army under the command of Major John Pitcairn. Major John Pitcairn then moved on to Concord, Massachusetts, where he destroyed much of the military stores. On June 17, 1775, the battle of BUNKER HILL, in Massachusetts,was fought. It was very evident after the battle at Bunker Hill that the 13 original colonies were determined to resist the British, regardless of the price.
The 13 Original Colonies were as follows: New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Connecticut, New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Delaware, Maryland, Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina and Georgia. On June 15, 1775, the Continental Congress appointed George Washington as COMMANDER-IN -CHIEF of the American forces. On July 4, 1776, the Continental Congress, meeting in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania issued the DECLARATION OF INDEPENDENCE, formally announcing separation from Great Britain.

VALLEY FORGE the WINTER ENCAMPMENT of WASHINGTON'S CONTINENTAL ARMY

After defeating Cornwallis on Christmas night at Trenton, New Jersey, in a surprise attack, George Washington then moved on to Princeton, New Jersey and again defeated the British Army. The American Army then suffered a series of defeats which lead George Washington to take his troops to "VALLEY FORGE, Pa. for the WINTER ENCAMPMENT of the CONTINENTAL ARMY.
George Washington brought about 11,000 men to Valley Forge, Pa.. Washington's troops were the Most Racially Integrated of any army our country fielded up to the Vietnam War. An estimated 5000 soldiers of African decent served in the continental army. Native Americans also played a role in the continental army. Members of the Oneida Indian Nation in particular, had a crucial impact during the Valley Forge encampment.
Over 3000 soldiers died during the six months of encampment, mostly from sickness and starvation. On June 19, 1778 the Continental Army evacuated camp at Valley Forge, Pa with 10,000 men who were well trained by General Friedrich Baron Von Steuben, the drillmaster.
In the summer of 1778 land forces from France arrived to aid the Continental Army and assisted in defeating Cornwallis at Yorktown. Cornwallis' surrendered on October 19, 1781. The surrender of Cornwallis, ended the AMERICAN REVOLUTION. The treaty of piece was signed in Paris on September 3, 1783.

The 5 Largest Armies In The World

This page is supposed to be a guide to the 5 largest armies in the world, based entirely on number of active personnel and disregarding reserves. This is not intended to represent a list of the most powerful military nations, a list which would either be completely subjective or simply show the 5 Declared Nuclear Nations. Many nations maintain a large military for purposes other than for the protection of national interests, with many retaining the traditional of compulsory national service in the belief that it instills discipline and develops skills in the recruits.

1. China - 2.255m

The People's Liberation Army (PLA) is a unified military which was established on 1st August 1927 as the military arm of the Communist Party of China (CCP). The PLA is not only the biggest army in the world but also the biggest employer in the world, with an estimated 2.225m personnel in total. Military service is compulsory for all men who reach the age of 18, at least in theory, although this has never been enforced due to the number of men who wish to join each year far outstripping capacity. The Chinese military aim to only become involved in genuine national defence and the assistance in emergency relief and economic construction.

2. United States - 1.474m

The United States Armed Forces has a total of 1.474m active personnel. The armed forces consists of the Army, Navy, Marine Corps, Air Force, and Coast Guard. The US armed forces draws its resources through volunteers, although conscription has been used in various times of both war and of peace (although not since 1972). The US spends about $692bn per annum funding its military operations, which equates to around 42% of global military expenditure. More than 80,000 US military personnel are located in Europe at any one time.

3. India - 1.414m

The Indian Armed Forces is the unified military of the Republic of India, encompassing the Army, Navy and Air Force. It has the third largest active military and the second largest military if including reserve personnel. It intends to expand its military to include an active military space program and is currently developing an advanced missile defence shield as well as nuclear triad capability. The Indian army has no conscription and relies entirely on a high demand for voluntary enrolment. Currently they do not allow females in combat roles.

4. North Korea - 1.106m

The Korean People's Army (KPA) consists of the various North Korean military forces, these include the Army Ground Force, The Navy, The Air Force, The Artillery Guidance Bureau, and The Special Operation Force. Dictator Kim-Jong II is the Supreme Commander of the Korean People's Army and he has made the military the primary position in society in his 'Military First' policy. This policy effectively means that military personnel are given priority over food supplies and other luxuries. If including reserve forces, the North Korean military is the largest in the world - with more than 3.5m personnel in the 'Worker-Peasant Red Guard'

5. Russia - 1.037m

The Russian Army is split into three primary branches; these are Ground Forces, the Navy, and the Air Force. There are also several smaller operational units including Space Troops, Strategic Missiles, Paratroopers, and the various Secret Services. Russia spends around 4.3% of its GDP on its army. Russia has withdrawn troops from various international stations in recent years in order to concentrate efforts on peacekeeping and various operations in former Soviet states. The most recent Russian military action was a clash with Georgian forces in August 2008 in a dispute over control of a region called South Ossetia.
